You might feel it is almost impossible to work out with regularity, if you are busy round the clock, spending half your day at work with all the stress that comes with it, and perhaps sleeping for 8 or less hours daily. The last thing you want to do is exercise.
Here are 5 quick workouts that are designed to fit into your busy schedule without getting in the way. They can be performed all round the clock at any place or time. Here we go:
1. Stretches on the bed
This is what you should do before getting up in the morning: stretch and stretch every muscle in your body to come alive. Stretching is an important part of exercise and although you might not gain any muscles or improve stamina this way, stretching will help your blood get flowing and prime your body for optimum performance.
2. Stretch at your desk
The stretching doesn’t end on your bed, you can take it right up to the office. One can do the different stretching exercises using the desk, the chair etc.
3. Lunch break activity
This is a golden opportunity. Head to the loo (if you’re too busy to head to the gym) and create your own 30 minute workout routine with easy moves like push-ups, squats, triceps dip, single leg squats etc, and any other workout that you can do in the snap of a finger. Take extra clothes and deodorant with you to freshen up afterwards.
4. Watch your favourite T.V shows
Another way to keep fit is watch your favourite T.V show while you do a quick 5 to 7 minute routine during the commercials breaks or while you’re waiting for the show to start. 20 squats, 15 to 20 mountain climbers, 10 push ups and 20 burpees.
This super quick five-minute routine is great to do during commercial breaks or while you’re waiting for the next episode on Netflix to start.
5. Cooking or Doing Chores
You can do a few warm ups whilst waiting for that meal to finish baking or while you do some house chores.
You should use every bit of time you have to do something with your body, no matter how small and you would be in perfect shape in no time. Simply keep at it consistently and diligently, and if you need some extra motivation, try listening to music while you work out.
