Drink a glass of milk before going to bed to help you sleep at night. Milk contains the amino acid tryptophan, a precursor to the brain chemical serotonin, may make it easier to sleep.

A study published in the Journal of Medical Food demonstrated rats that received whole tart cherry powder for 90 days, mixed into a high-fat diet, didn’t gain as much weight as rats that didn’t receive cherries.
